Corvette is correct. This is Mike Parsons, part of the Billabong Odyssey team (check out the movie) at Jaws, Maui, a few years back. This was the highest rated wave of the day and won him the competition. Wave was measured in the 65ft range. If you’re even vaguely interested in big wave surfing the movie is sick! Def recommended. C’mon…Tsunami? LOL

its real. filmed by helicopter most likely at piahi (prolly the wrong spelling) aka jaws, a break off hawaii which gets huge swells a few times a year.
that wave is about 80ft, and it is not a tsunami, you can’t surf tsunami, becuase they don’t form waves like that there just a mass of moving water like a blob
The Cortez Bank is west of San Diego about 100 miles. I saw a video on it once. It’s a shallow area out in the middle of the Pacific, that breaks only maybe a handful of times a year. If I remember right, a pro surfer was flying across the Pacific to a contest ( I think it might have been Figi (I’m not sure about that part) and just happened to see it breaking from the airplane. And that’s how it was discovered. I saw guys in the video being towed in just like this video. It gets 60-80 feet

balls of steel but thats not a tsunami and it is real, it looks like 50-60 ft wave. there are waves that big in a place called toephiphi
