Finding the Best Scuba Diving Lessons

May 7th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Uncategorized

There are different professional diving organizations in the world today, but one of the most respected is PADI, or the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.  PADI scuba diving lessons can be found all over the world, and the PADI association also has links to different shops and resorts where individuals can obtain scuba diving equipment and can enjoy sight seeing underwater at the different locations.  PADI scuba diving lessons are tailored to the needs of the individuals so that those learning to dive for the first time can find lessons as well as those who are advanced and want to obtain a rescue diving license.  The scuba diving lessons cost different amounts depending on the type of lesson.

Learning the Skills

In order to get the basic skills down to be able to scuba dive on a vacation or around the home area, an individual will usually take about three days to six weeks to complete the scuba diving training course.  The length of time depends on the individual since, to complete the course, the individual has to prove that he or she has mastered the basic scuba diving skills and the knowledge of the equipment and safety issues that are involved with the sport.  Scuba diving lessons can be taken by a child as young as ten, although the child has to have a parent that is a certified diver to dive with him.  A child under the age of fifteen can only obtain a junior scuba certification from taking a scuba diving course, which means they have to dive with a certified adult.  After fifteen they can obtain their regular PADI Open Water Diver certification.

For individuals who are interested in taking a scuba diving lesson but are not sure how they might react under the water, there are some demonstration scuba diving experiences that allow individuals to make a shallow dive in a pool with a certified instructor to see if scuba diving is for them.  Once the individual is certified to scuba dive, then they can start to look for resorts and spots where they can go on a scuba diving holiday and explore.  If the individual does not want to buy his own equipment, there are scuba diving shops that will rent equipment to the scuba diver so that he does not have to haul the equipment with him.

Is A Woman Allowed To Wear A Brazilian Micro Bikini In Public?

November 27th, 2009 No Comments   Posted in Uncategorized
Although bikinis have been accepted into the mainstream world of swimwear fashion for many years, with the introduction of the Brazilian-cut micro bikini by European influences, Hollywood movies, and trendy mazines, many women remain reluctant to wear the Brazilian micro bikini in public.

What started off as designer swimwear for sunbathing, eventually evolved into wearing the Brazilian micro bikini in public by non-movie-star type women--namely any woman who felt brave enough to wear such attire. However, to fully understand what's at stake, let's consider a few known facts. Brazilian bikinis, both the bikini tops and bottoms, reveal more skin than any of the previous bikini styles that were available in the United States. Most notably, the Brazilian bikini bottoms are so revealing that it is almost an unwritten rule that a woman must shave or wax her pubic hairs before going out in public while wearing such a suit.

On a side note, that's how the term, "Brazilian bikini wax" was born. Before a woman could wear such a swimsuit, she had to remove (wax) the visible hairs that were not covered up by the bikini's fabric.

The bottoms of Brazilian bikinis have slim strips of fabric that drape over the pelvic bone in front, and the fabric in back reveals almost every inch of a woman’s body. The bikini bottoms are known as Tanga, Asa Delta, and Fio Dental. The Tanga covers a minimal area of flesh on the backside, whereas the Asa Delta looks similar to a thong, but it has strips of fabric that line each side of the back. The Fio Dental is equivalent to the size of dental floss as it slithers in between the buttocks of the wearer.

Brazilian bikinis tops are equally as flesh revealing as the bottoms. Even though bikinis can be worn for swimming, the Brazilian bikinis are mostly known for sunbathing use. In the Brazilian bikini line, there are three styles of bikini tops: triangle, halter, and bandeau. The triangle covers the bust area with two miniscule-sized cups that suggest that they might cover a small portion of the breasts. A halter top has more fabric and is usually cinched around the neck to keep the woman's bosom from falling out of the bikini's top. A bandeau is similar to an elastic tube that slips over the head and covers the chest area. It has no ties at the neck or in the back.

Brazilian bikinis reveal more flesh than any other type of bikini on the market. You can also choose a sheer or see-thru fabric. There is very little left to the imagination when a woman wears this type of bikini. Therefore, although there are no universal rules that say a woman cannot wear a Brazilian bikini in public, many resorts, public beaches and pools do have the right to request that a woman leave the area or change into swimwear that is less revealing, especially if young children are present.

To be prepared for such a personal confrontation by management, a woman would be wise to bring along a more modest-styled swimsuit in the event she were asked to leave the premises due to her revealing swimwear. So, if you are daring enough, and have enough self-esteem, go ahead and wear your Brazilian micro bikini in public. Just be aware that you might be asked to leave.

One final thought: if Brazilian-cut bikinis were banned in a lot of public places, then we wouldn't be seeing so many stores carrying them, right? However, sales are booming in all corners of the world when it comes to selling this type of swimwear. The bottom line is that women love wearing these bikinis, and men love looking at women wearing Brazilian bikinis. That fact alone is what drives sales up, and by looking at the fashion magazines, it doesn't appear that the Brazilian bikini is going away anytime soon. So, ladies, go ahead and wear your micro bikinis in public. When management doesn't approve, they'll be sure to let you know...maybe.

So why do most men choose boardshorts over all the other options they have available to them?

Board shorts are a perfect manifestation of comfort and style. Any guy in board shorts instantly looks great, the different style and designs that are available means you can always find a board short to suit your taste and your body. The surfer look is a style that a lot of guys adopt and strive for, it is a look that is easy to take on and looks great, with the all over great tan, the floppy hair, the casual and laid back shorts, a t-shirt (or no t-shirt), and flip flops, easy and very cool.

Boardshorts aren’t just for looking good.

Because board shorts are so fashionable and look so great it is easy to forget that they are infact important items of sporting clothing. First created and designed by surfers they are perfect to go surfing in. They are light and durable in the water and sun, they are loose and let you move around easily when you are on the board, and they are quick drying and comfortable which when you are in and out of water combined with the sand from the beach is usually quite hard to pull off!

All the different brands of board shorts for men

There is a vast choice of board short brands to choose from, and they all give a little something different to their boardshorts. Some of these brands include Animal, Rip Curl, Billabong, Roxy, and Quicksilver. Have a search online and in the shops at the different styles available within these brands, depending on your body type and your taste you will prefer one brand over another, but all of them are purposefully designed for surfers and are perfect for life on the beach.

It’s because when you stroll or play near the beach, your feet needs to breathe and so your footwear. Prefer spring color beach sandals designed with comfortable leather adjustable straps across the toes to enable a good grip. Single toe strap shoes are the best bet in this regard.

Pick a pair of spring sandals designed with full grain leather that wicks away the moisture from your feet thus leaving your feet stay cool and dry inside the footwear.

Tiny Micro Bikini

July 9th, 2009 No Comments   Posted in Uncategorized
First up, we'll run through a short history of the bikini (no sniggering at the back, please) and see how we arrive at the micro bikini.

The two-piece swimsuit we know today as the bikini has only been marketed and sold as such for 60 years. But archaeologists have discovered Minoan wall paintings from 1600 B.C. and Roman mosaics from 300 A.D. that show the bikini, so the ancients were livin' it up! Still, it is the debut of the modern bikini in 1946 and its later modifications that truly define the swimsuit.

The bikini was invented and launched by two French designers: Jacques Heim and Louis Reard. Heim was a swimsuit designer who had created a two-piece suit to be sold in his beach shop in Cannes. He marketed the swimsuit as the "atome," (named for its small size and meant to be compared with the atom, the smallest particle of matter known). No doubt, it was an outrageously tiny swimsuit.

The same year, Reard was creating his own similar, two-piece swimsuit. He named and marketed his swimsuit as the bikini, claiming that it was "smaller than the smallest bathing suit in the world". Reard christened his swimsuit the bikini in honor of experimental atomic bombs being detonated in the South Pacific, near the Bikini Reef.

So Reard's name stuck, though by today's standards, the bikinis of the 1940s and '50s were positively modest in their coverage. Bottoms were cut above the navel, and tops fully covered the breasts.

Getting smaller by the year

The bikini went through several changes as time passed. Designers experimented with many varieties for the swimsuit, including a bikini top with attached propellers (!), a suit made entirely of red hair, and even a version made of porcupine quills.

As early as the 1950s, the bikini was already so small that it could be packed into a matchbook, but even more drastic shrinkage lay in store. In the 1970s, the sexual revolution in the United States caused designers to make the bikini even more revealing.

So we had string bikinis, which exposed the navel by fitting the bottoms on the hips. The top, too, provided only bra-style coverage. In the 1980s, the popular thong bikini arrived on the scene. Designers claimed the thong bikini originated from the clothing of Amazonian tribal groups in Brazil. As we know, the thong bikini leaves the bottom virtually uncovered and the back of the suit disappears into the buttocks.

Micro bikinis

In the 1990s and 2000s, designers have continued to revamp the bikini and innovated new styles. While the thong and string bikinis retain their popularity, the micro bikini has recently been added to the growing selection.

Essentially, micro bikinis are bikinis combining a micro bikini top and a thong bikini bottom. Needless to add, it is scantier and more revealing than traditional bikinis and hence its name.

Buying micro bikinis

· A word of warning: you need to be careful that you don't opt for a string bikini when you mean to buy a micro bikini. There are enough illustrated examples online to show you the difference.

· Numerous sites offer essential advice like how to shave your bikini line (hairy exposures will NOT do). Make sure your pubic area in particular is well shorn.

· Choose the fabric well. Test your skin for itches and allergic rashes, particularly since you will be spending a lot of time in the sun wearing your bikini

· Have plenty of sunscreen handy. You need to use liberal doses all over your body since you obviously will not have much on in terms of protection from the sun's rays!

Bikini Styles : an Overview

June 30th, 2009 No Comments   Posted in Uncategorized
The arrival of bikini, more than sixty years ago, gave a completely different look and orientation to the fashion world. Though taken with a shock initially, its exciting and sexy look didn't allow the fashion buffs to keep their attention at bay for long. It succeeded comprehensively to win over the heart of those who wanted to give their body a raunchy look

Hence, the designers didn't leave any stone unturned to cater to the needs of the adventurous swimmers .Hopefully, the following texts may help bikini lovers to select a suitable womens beach wear for them.

THE MOST CLASSIC

String Bikini: It is nothing but a classic combination of small pieces of fabric and strings. The tops have two pieces of strings with one on each end. The bottoms are made of two small fabric attached-at-the-groin triangles. These pieces are connected to strings which run around the waistline.

THE MODEST ONES

Tankini: Called by many as a modest bikini, it consists of a common bikini bottom and a tank top. The tankini covers everything from under the armpits to the navel.

Maternity Tankini: It is especially designed for pregnant ladies. The lower part of the tank top is cut into two halves which makes the naval visible

Sports Bikini: Used by beach volleyball players only and some other athletes.

THE MOST OVERT ONES

Sling Bikini: Also known as "slingshot", it is, more or less, only a bottom bikini. It is attached to strings or straps which go upwards to join near the neck. In the process, they cover the breasts. Definitely, it is clear that the straps don't hang around the waistline.

Microkini: This variation, regarded by many as next to nudity, uses a piece of cloth that is capable to cover genitals only. It is attached to an elongated strip that is suspended around the waistline.

THE EXTREMES

Pubkini: It is the extreme form of microkini. Mostly used by adult cinema actresses and dancers. It has the least use of fabric.

Monokini: A bikini without its top is called monokini. It is used mostly while sunbathing. But darers try it often in swimming pools.
